We at Bullet Baseball proudly announce our latest addition to our coaching family. Tyler Reves comes highly recommended and brings the experience and commitment to excellence that we all strive for. Coach Tyler will make an immediate impact as he will be assisting the 16u and 18u teams this fall. His spring assignment will be determined at a later date.
Tyler was born and raised in Orange, TX where he graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. At LCM, he made First Team All-District three straight years and led the Bears to a 2000 regional final and a 2001 regional quarter final.
Tyler was one of the top Junior College hitters in 2005, batting .487 with 12 homeruns at Wharton County Junior College. In his two seasons at WCJC, he received such awards as All-Conference and All-Region. He won the "Big Stick" award for having the highest batting average in the south region and received a second-team All-American selection.
Tyler was drafted in the 33rd round by the Tampa Bay Devil rays in 2005. He declined his Minor League contract to play for Texas Tech. After a very successful year with the Red Raiders, he became a 4th round pick by the Chicago White Sox where he has played until this past season.
Tyler is single with no children and resides in Orange. He is currently attending Lamar University and will be graduating in the summer of 2009.
